The chart shown is my perception of one hundred years of life. I call it 4 Life Quarters. Because I am an electrical engineer, I can perceive life in a logical manner. If life is four quarters, what should occur in those quarters? I believe each quarter should have a main theme or focus. My main themes are; Learning, Living, Loving, and Leaving. Each quarter is given five attributes, prioritized in the order of importance that I have experienced and observed over time. I believe that the actions taken in one quarter will affect adjacent quarters and the lives of others. Attributes rearranged in the order of priority will affect adjacent quarters. In this four part series I will discuss each quarter and the attributes in each.

These writing are my thoughts on the subject of living. I hope they can be used to enlighten or stir thoughts on the importance of using time wisely. Life has a beginning and an end. Every second once used is gone. We can only use the remaining time to make changes. In a football game, from start to finish, the participants are decidedly aware of time. In the game of life there is only so much time to play. Football teams practice the two minute drill because the game could be decided in the final seconds. In life, make every second worthy of attention.
